The first AKGIM Alumni Meet was held on 15th January, 2011 in the AKGIM premises coinciding with the International Conference ICCGC 2011. It was a wonderful occasion to celebrate with  the AKGIM Alumni who  met and shared their experiences with the faculty and the current batch students.  More than 30 alumnus  who are employed with leading companies assembled at AKGIM Campus were present to  celebrate the occasion.  

Dr. Vidhi Agrawal, Chairperson AKGIM Alumni Association, welcomed the alumni on behalf  of the Institute.  Dr. Rajiv R. Thakur, Director, AKGIM  explained the purpose of Alumni Association.

Director AKGIM apprised the alumni about the importance of the re union and shared his experience of successful alumni associations. The alumni shared their corporate experience and gave tips for the new students.  Many valuable suggestions on the future direction for research and teaching priorities in AKGIM were shared. All the participants opined that the alumni could play an active role in the growth and development of AKGIM and also pledged their active support for the same.

On this occasion, election for the alumni association was also held and the Office bearers of the association were elected. The Institute also felicitated all the members with memento. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the members of the AKGIM Alumni Association.
