MDP on "Digital Marketing"

Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management in association with Ghaziabad Management Association conducted a two-days Management Development Program on " Digital Marketing " on April 12-13, 2016.

The program revolves around understanding the consumers in the digital space, and developing digital marketing strategies for acquisition and retention of customers. It emphasized on developing skills and competencies concerning digital marketing. A host of participants, both senior and middle level, from organizations like Micromatic Grinding Technologies Ltd., Ghaziabad Precision Products (P) Ltd., Continental Carbon India Ltd., CHW Forge Private Ltd., BHT Digital, SPA Web Solutions and many others took part in the program. Majority of the participants were from the area of marketing and advertising.

The program was inaugurated by Mr. Vinay Gupta, Executive Director, GMA. It was commenced with the welcome address by Dr. T R Pandey, Director, AKGIM. The first session of Day 1 on Digital Marketing: Overview and Framework was delivered by Prof. Rajeev Sirohi. It was followed by the session on Content Marketing by Mr. Hemant Bisht, founder of Orange Cube Consultancy. It was followed by other session on Social Media by Dr. Manupriya Gaur. The day ended with a session on Integrating Digital Interfaces by Prof. Namita N. Kumar.

Day 2 of the MDP was started with the session on Website Intelligence & ROI by Mr. Shyam from SPA Web Solutions and Mr. Pankaj Chauhan from Research Gyan.

This was followed by a session of Mr. Soumitra Chakraborty, on Search Engine Optimization. The final session of the 2 day MDP was conducted by Prof. Namita N Kumar on Online Identity and Reputation.

The entire program was based on participant centered learning (PCL) approach, case studies and usage of new techniques in the area of digital marketing. It concluded with Valedictory Address by Dr. R. K. Agarwal, Director, AKGEC and President, GMA.
