AKGIM is proud to have a highly vibrant and enthusiastic student community. All activities on campus , in one way or another are driven by the various student committees, forums and interest groups. While the committees concentrate on the functional aspects of managing a B-school, the forums aim at an all round intellectual development of the future managers through various activities like knowledge sharing ,discussions, case study analysis and a number of intra and inter B-school contests like Management Czar.

The Student Activities Forum helps students organize a wide variety of recreational activities, cultural events, movies, concerts, trips, parties, lectures, and celebrations.

The Forum is responsible for planning and organizing events, such as quizzes, dramas, skits, social events. Since students are the stakeholders of education who are affected most by it, the SAF has the responsibility to present the students' point of view in all matters pertaining to academics. The idea is to form the link between the students and the faculty - a links that should be trusted by both. The end objective of course, is to foster a healthy academic atmosphere where the quality of education is always on the rise.

The body consists of Four members including Chairperson SAF. The committee currently comprises-

SAF - Mission Statement

• To create and foster an inclusive and supportive environment in which all students feel motivated and encouraged to perform to their full academic potential.
• To be a forum in which the student body can communicate their needs and concerns about issues of transformation
• To promote integration, heightened engagement and debate across cultural lines.
• To create a platform of communication between the academic staff and students.
• To develop stronger networks and links between previously advantaged students and members of the professional bodies.
• To ensure that the Faculty is held accountable with regards to transformation and equity objectives.

The Student Activity Forum organizes inter-institutional events to demonstrate the academic ability of AKGIM students. The Committee also established Management Function Clubs to spearhead sharing of relevant information and ideas. All committees of SAF organize annual events at AKGIM. Following committees are functioning under student activity forum.

Cultural Committee
The Committee is responsible for planning and organizing events, such as quizzes, dramas, skits and social events, etc.

Sports Committee
The Committee aims to build a spirit of healthy competition by organizing sports events. It also organizes competitions with teams from other Institutes.

Social Welfare Committee
Committee members empower and enables through a host of activities that span fostering greater awareness to concrete action on the ground . A completely student driven initiative, the amount of persistence and passion shown towards social causes by its members is no less than exemplary

Publication & Communication Committee
The committee is responsible for publishing e-newsletter, newsletter & e-journal. The committee is also responsible for public relations, media relations and web management.

Alumni Committee
The best measure of the success of an educational institution is the success of its alumni. In its short existence AKGIM has initiated to develop its alumni network. Tomorrow, AKGIM Alumni is to be found everywhere, building, leading and making a difference to organizations and the industry. AKGIM graduates shall be leaders in an exceptionally broad range of organizations, including entrepreneurial companies, established firms, government and nonprofit organizations.
AKGIM plans to conduct reunions with a purposeful mix of learning and fun. For this purpose the Alumni Committee would serve as a platform.

Annual Events

AKGIM conducts annual events of diverse nature and magnitude. This includes annual sports meet, mega quiz, and various other cultural events in collaboration with industry and other business schools. The events nurture the planning and organizing skills of the students which constitute an integral part of business education.

Cultural And CSR Initiatives

AKGIM assimilates its students with virtues of being transformational leaders. An individual however needs to be aware of his surrounding environment and take actions and initiatives to better the surroundings. In an era where governments have just started talking of “Inclusive Growth”, AKGIM students has already put it to practice.
AKGIM students work as a societal welfare club to empower the people. It empowers the people through a host of activities. All these activities are voluntary in nature and are completely student driven initiative. Some of the voluntary activities the AKGIM students have diversified themselves are:
AKGIM is associated with Noida Lok Manch Project,  Samiksha Project  & Grace Home, an organization for Orphans in Noida and Delhi.
The socio-cultural sensitivities instill a sense of responsibility and ethical values system among the students. The CSR initiatives are a beginning in transforming the students into socially responsible citizens who ultimately shall be involved in nation building.

Student Accolades

Students at AKGIM are ready to get involved with the activities that offer a balance to the demand of academic life; there they have a choice of a variety of student run co-curricular activities such as dance, skit, role play, quiz contest, ad-mania, war game etc.
Following are some of the participations by the students in various events at different forums:

The students participated in Future leaders 2009, a PG Fest organized by SIMS, Ghaziabad. Won third prize.

The students participated in Melarge’10, PG Fest organized by IMS, Ghaziabad in Finance Fresco, Innovision (An IT event), Sangathan (HR Event), Fresco (Finance Event),Collage making, Abhiney (Role play), Singing. Won 2nd and 3rd prizes.

Students also undertook India Visit Initiatives which were widely covered by media.
