"Workshop on “Campus to Corporate”

Mr. Sumit Chaudhuri, Chairman and Managing Director, THIRD MILLENNIUM BUSINESS RESOURCE ASSOCIATES PRIVATE LIMITED, conducted a workshop on "Campus to Corporate" on 17th August 2017. Mr. Chaudhary, during this workshop made students to work on various exercises that helped students in their self evaluation. He also briefed students how to prepare themselves for the coming corporate life. The session was highly inspirational for the students.

 

 

 

 

     

 

 

Workshop on “Analysis of Balance Sheet”

A workshop on "HOW TO ANALYSE THE BALANCE SHEET" was conducted on 8th August, 2017 in AKGIM by Mr. S Chandrasekhar, Managing Director of EmpoVer HR Solutions Pvt ltd. He shared his expertise on the said topic. He through his own experience told students of MBA how to analyze a balance sheet in just 30 seconds. He made students understand some of the common terms which students should more likely to know from the point view of corporate expectation. Session was interactive and interesting.

WORKSHOP ON STOCKMIND

Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management in association with ICICI.DIRECT .com organized 1 day work shop on virtual trading game named "STOCKMIND", conducted by Zonal heads of Marketing on 24th January, 2017 at AKGIM. The inaugural session of the workshop was started with the lamp lighting by Director AKGIM, Dr. Tripurari Pandey, Ms. Malini Prasad from ICICI Direct.com and other faculty members.

Stock Mind is India's biggest virtual Stock Markets game which offers a platform to students to learn, compete and win exciting prizes.Through Stock Mind the students not just acquire investing and financial skills also, they learn essential life skills.

Students of AKGIM with various other institutions like Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (Ghaziabad), ITS College (Ghaziabad), ABES (Ghaziabad), INMANTEC (Ghaziabad) participated in the event. The objective of the workshop was to encouraged young budding managers to explore their investment and financial skills through virtual trading , which will sharpen their planning, analytical and decision-making abilities.

Workshop on “Digital Marketing”

Two days workshop on " Digital Marketing " was conducted from 30th Sept- 1st Oct 2016. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Hemant Bisht, corporate trainer. He briefed the students about Digital marketing and its various concomitants. During workshop students got an insight about various tools of digital marketing and their usage through which companies can get reach to new and existing customers. Students were also given hands on practical experience of the same.

The session was wonderful and was enjoyed by the students.

Workshop on “Analysis of Balance Sheet”

AKGIM organised one day workshop for MBA III semester students on 8th Sept 2016. Mr. S. Chandrasekar, corporate trainer facilitated the workshop. During this workshop, he highlighted how balance sheet can be evaluated in just a few minutes. Mr. Chandrasekar, through his expertise helped students to bring down the trepidation levels related to analyzing balance sheets. He said that healthy accounting is only possible when business owners can effectively interpret and routinely check their balance sheets. This workshop was highly acclaimed by the students.

Entrepreneurship Workshop 2014

AKGIM organized a two day img on 17-18 Oct 2014.

1. Title of the Workshop: Fundamentals of New Venture Creation

2. Objectives of the Workshop:

(i) To enable students to generate ideas for creating a new venture

(ii) To enable students to identify an opportunity for creating a new venture

(iii) To make students learn about the basic resources needed to start a new business.

(iv) To know the basics of writing a business plan

(v) To make students learn about the problems and challenges in the process of taking a new business from start-up to growth stage.

(vi) To make students learn about identifying and attracting highly talented individuals in the process of forming a well balanced team for a new business.

(vii) To make students learn about evaluating the various sources of funding that are most suitable for a new business.

3. Duration of the work shop: Two Days

4. Outline of the Workshop: The Workshop was aimed at imparting the basic knowledge and skills to students for analysing ideas and business opportunities that can result in the creation and growth of new ventures. The workshop had different components of instruction and training including lectures, role play and team exercises. Most importantly, the self-assessment of students was done before starting the workshop. The one day workshop started with administering various instruments to the students, which encompassed entrepreneurial assessment for them. This was followed by a lecture on the basic aspects of individual entrepreneurship. Next students were formed into teams to come up with a few ideas and opportunities, which were followed by a role play aimed at testing the potential of ideas and opportunities. There was question & answer and / discussion session of 15 minutes duration between each activity of the work shop.

5. Presenter: Dr. Chivukula Venkata Ramana, B.E., M.B.A. (USA), Ph.D. (JNTUH)

6. Biography of the Presenter: Chivukula Venkata Ramana graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad with a bachelor of engineering in electronics and communication in 1993. He worked for six years in the I.T. industry as a marketing executive in India. Later he went to USA and obtained his Master of Business Administration degree from Loyola University New Orleans in 2002. Chivukula Venkata Ramana gained work experience in the hospitality and telemarketing industry for five years in USA. He has a special interest in aviation and wrote three papers on aviation industry. He received his doctorate in entrepreneurship from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad in 2009. His main areas of interest include entrepreneurship and airline management. He has published six articles in national and two articles in international journals. Also he has presented eight papers in national conferences and four papers in international conferences. He has also given seven guest lectures at various institutions including engineering colleges, universities and business schools in India. He has also conducted one workshop and two training programs in the areas of entrepreneurship and human resources management. Chivukula Venkata Ramana has five years of teaching experience at different categories of business schools. He has earlier worked as Assistant Professor, Senior Assistant Professor and Associate Professor at ICFAI University, VJIM, and SNIST respectively where he taught a variety of courses including Business Strategy, Services Marketing, Retail Management, and Entrepreneurship. Chivukula Venkata Ramana is the Founder & CEO of Unique Media Enterprises.
