Workshop on “How to Start a Business”
Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management (AKGIM) in association with CII and Sleepwell Foundation organised a 3-Days online workshop “How to Start a Business” on 30 April, 1 & 2 May, 2021. This workshop was an initiative of Sleepwell Foundation, the CSR arm of Sheela foam Ltd. The 3 days online workshop was very interactive and enjoyed by the students of both the semesters. It provided a comprehensive knowledge of setting up a business and running it successfully.
Training partner of the workshop was Mac Lead certification and all the sessions were taken by domain experts of the company. The workshop was full of interactive, involving and interesting real-life experiences shared by leading entrepreneurs.
Workshop on Entrepreneurship by Mr.H.S.Cheema
A Workshop on Entrepreneurship was organized by AKGIM on 18th February 2020. It was addressed by Mr.H.S.Cheema, Managing Director, CHEEMA BOILERS LIMITED, Mohali, Punjab. Mr.Cheema gave a very engrossing insight to his story of transformation from doing job to earn a living to becoming an entrepreneur. He also weaved in the role and importance of unified force; innovation and invention; employee satisfaction; customer satisfaction; funds management and many more to entrepreneurship. The workshop was quite interactive with a series of questions posed to him by the students as well as the academicians.
Workshop on ‘Project Management”
On 28th September, 2019, AKGIM organized a workshop on "Project Management" for MBA students. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Yogesh Kumar Gupta. Mr. Gupta, during this workshop made students learn and understand the concept of Project management. He described the application, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. He further explained that Project management is accomplished through the application and integration of project management processes of initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing. The session was highly inspirational and knowledgeable for the students..
"Workshop on “Campus to Corporate”
Mr. Sumit Chaudhuri, Chairman and Managing Director, THIRD MILLENNIUM BUSINESS RESOURCE ASSOCIATES PRIVATE LIMITED, conducted a workshop on "Campus to Corporate" on 17th August 2017. Mr. Chaudhary, during this workshop made students to work on various exercises that helped students in their self evaluation. He also briefed students how to prepare themselves for the coming corporate life. The session was highly inspirational for the students.
Workshop on “Analysis of Balance Sheet”
The following is a list of our degree-granting academic departments and programsA workshop on "HOW TO ANALYSE THE BALANCE SHEET" was conducted on 8th August, 2017 in AKGIM by Mr. S Chandrasekhar, Managing Director of EmpoVer HR Solutions Pvt ltd. He shared his expertise on the said topic. He through his own experience told students of MBA how to analyze a balance sheet in just 30 seconds. He made students understand some of the common terms which students should more likely to know from the point view of corporate expectation. Session was interactive and interesting.
Workshop on “WORKSHOP ON STOCKMIND”
Ajay Kumar Garg Institute of Management in association with ICICI.DIRECT .com organized 1 day work shop on virtual trading game named "STOCKMIND", conducted by Zonal heads of Marketing on 24th January, 2017 at AKGIM. The inaugural session of the workshop was started with the lamp lighting by Director AKGIM, Dr. Tripurari Pandey, Ms. Malini Prasad from ICICI Direct.com and other faculty members.
Stock Mind is India's biggest virtual Stock Markets game which offers a platform to students to learn, compete and win exciting prizes.Through Stock Mind the students not just acquire investing and financial skills also, they learn essential life skills.
Students of AKGIM with various other institutions like Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (Ghaziabad), ITS College (Ghaziabad), ABES (Ghaziabad), INMANTEC (Ghaziabad) participated in the event. The objective of the workshop was to encouraged young budding managers to explore their investment and financial skills through virtual trading , which will sharpen their planning, analytical and decision-making abilities.
